The Isle of Mull, West of Scotland, boasts, among its varied wildlife, a myriad of red deer. The most visible are certainly the herds formed by mothers, females and calves. The big males tend to be more isolated and to gather in groups of a dozen at most. Then, at the time of courtship, the males larger clash for domination and clashes can be very bloody, sometimes even deadly, as the animals try to push the rival down from the high cliffs of the island.
